Did any writers out there enter into this contest over the past month? Honestly, this is the first I had heard of it! I didn't enter a contest, but I did chose a project. I had written a rough draft some years ago, but set aside. I was waiting for my Sebastian series to wrap up. Well, that has taken longer than planned, as most series do, but I decided to focus on this old draft for the entire month. And guess what? What they say is true: give yourself a writing goal, break it down, and you just might have something that is starting to look like a novel!

Writing a series is tedious. Yes, fun in it's own way, but you might feel "Oh--this is all I can work on." I am very thankful I came across NanoWriMo. It was the break I needed!

Confession: I am a teeny bit behind; currently at 27,000 words, need to be at 50,000 at the end of the month!
